Want to learn how to design high-quality, high-performance screens and HMIs for desktops, mobile devices, and everything in between? Do you want to make your industrial applications more powerful by accessing mobile-device sensors and cameras? Even if you’ve worked with the Vision Module before, the live Perspective Training Course will give you the skills you need to leverage these features in your industrial application.
Expert instructors will teach you how to use and design with the powerful layout features in the Perspective Module. You will learn to work with new container types and create a complex navigation strategy within a design project that automatically adjusts between desktop and mobile environments. This course will use Python scripting and a database connection to show additional features in Perspective such as using the mobile app as a barcode scanner, uploading files, and adding dynamic location-driven maps to your project.
This class is delivered online using cloud hosted Virtual Machines. These computers have everything we will need pre-installed, but we need additional information from you to create the VM approximately 1 week before class starts.
In addition to lectures and demonstrations, you’ll gain hands-on experience by building a live project in Perspective. During your time in class, you’ll be encouraged to ask the instructor course-relevant questions concerning projects that you already have in progress.
The Perspective training is a five-day-long course with classes held on Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (GMT-5) with time at the end for Q&A. For this training session, we encourage you to bring a smartphone or mobile device to use the mobile app and test your project in class.
Recommended home equipment: A strong internet connection and a computer with 2 monitors - You will be working in Ignition and viewing the instructor's screen.
Prerequisite: Prior Ignition experience is highly recommended, and visiting the Perspective section of the Inductive University will be a helpful starting point. You will have the opportunity to dive into more advanced features of the Ignition platform, including scripting and database work in this course.
